Herica de Noronha was born in a small countryside town in the heart of Brazil. After a career in modeling that opened her to many cultures and visual influences, she stepped back to study sustainability—taking courses at Cambridge and training with holistic schools in natural and raw culinary food systems, regenerative agriculture, Ayurveda, and studio practice.
Art is where these strands meet. Herica translates an inner underworld of images—structures, shapes, and color—into tactile sculptures, paintings, and installations that draw on childhood memory and the rhythms of rural life. Grounded in ecological knowledge and reverence for the earth, her work makes visible the connections between body, land, and imagination.
Sustainability informs every stage of her practice. She prioritizes natural materials, up-cycles and recycles found elements, and creates her own colou’s by extracting pigments from plants, soils, and other natural sources whenever possible. Her pieces invite viewers into a quiet, enchanted landscape where healing and beauty coexist—acts of reassembly that celebrate reciprocity, resilience, and the slow work of tending.
